Nurses receive a fraction of what practices pay, with no transparency about costs or rates. Neither side has a reliable, trusted way to verify credentials, manage bookings, handle timesheets, or process payments without going through an expensive intermediary.
NetworkDental was built to change this. We are a direct-hire marketplace - a technology platform that connects dental practices directly with verified dental nurses across the UK, removing the agency margin and putting both sides in control of their own arrangements.
How It Works for Dental Nurses
Onboarding and Verification
When you register as a dental nurse on NetworkDental, you complete a guided onboarding process that verifies your credentials:

Finding and Accepting Shifts
Browse available vacancies on our interactive map - filtered to your radius and preferences. Each vacancy shows the practice location, rate, session type, specialities required, and session dates. Apply with a single tap. If the practice selects you, you receive a booking confirmation with all the details you need.
Timesheets and Payment
After completing a shift, submit your timesheet digitally through the platform. The practice reviews and approves, and your payment is processed automatically via Stripe. No invoice to raise, no payment to chase.
Reviews
After each booking, both you and the practice can leave a review. Your review record builds over time, becomes your professional reputation on the platform, and helps you negotiate better rates and attract premium bookings.
How It Works for Dental Practices
Getting Started
Register your practice on NetworkDental. During onboarding, your practice details are verified (including Companies House lookup for UK-registered businesses). Set up your working days, default sessions, and practice profile so nurses have all the information they need.
Posting Vacancies
Post a standard vacancy for planned cover: set the date, session times, required specialities, dental software used, and the rate you're offering. Nearby verified nurses will receive the vacancy notification and can apply.
For urgent same-day cover, post an SOS vacancy through our expedited flow. SOS vacancies are flagged as urgent in the nurse feed and reach the local nurse community immediately, with applications typically arriving within hours.
Selecting a Nurse
Review applicants' profiles, including their verified GDC, DBS, and indemnity status, specialities, experience, and review ratings from other practices. Select the nurse you want - you're in control of who works at your practice.
Managing Bookings and Timesheets
All your bookings, sessions, and timesheet submissions are managed within the platform. Review and approve nurse timesheets digitally. Payments are processed automatically via Stripe - no invoices to process, no bank transfers to arrange.
Transparency on Cost
Before confirming any booking, the platform shows you a clear cost breakdown - the nurse's rate, session duration, and any applicable platform fee. No hidden margins, no surprises.
